I was a Buckeye until 1992 when I married my husband, Eric.  I have been a Hoosier since that time and moved to Lafayette in 1998. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in School Psychology, and received my Ph.D. in Educational Studies from Purdue in 1999. I currently work full-time as a School Psychologist.

I started teaching fitness classes in 1993 and have been teaching ever since.  At the onset, my classes included step and high-low aerobic classes.  Much of my aerobic work was a direct knock-off of what I learned from Jane Fonda videos!  I started teaching Rep Reebok in 2002 and, shortly thereafter, became certified in BodyPump.  In 2012 I became certified in RPM and currently teach both BodyPump and RPM classes.

My favorite things to do include biking with friends, photography and scrapbooking, s’more nights with my children, and training for endurance events with my husband (all of which there is never enough time to do)!

Although my heart still calls Minnesota home, I have been a Hoosier long enough that I ought to change my allegiance in a year or two.  I have a BA in English and Dance and a Master's  degree in Education.  I started teaching in the fitness realm in 1985 and have held positions teaching high-low impact, step, pilates, aquatics, Turbo Kick, Body Pump and RPM.  I am certified and able to teach all of these, but prefer the last two formats at this time in my life. I currently teach the Sunday Pump class and just started the walk/run class on Wednesday evenings which is a great fit for me.  I also sub for various RPM instructors.

One of my favorite things in life is learning. I used to think people as old as I am ought to know it all, not that they did, but that they should.  I merely know that I have a lot to learn and that I learn from every person and situation I encounter.  I hope it is obvious to people who know me that I am devoted to 3 Fs- family, faith and fitness as they sustain me in all things.

Born and raised in Greece, I received a Sino-Greek Government Student Exchange Scholarship to study medicine in China, where I combined my education in conventional medicine with training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (T.C.M.).  Nine years in Beijing provided me with a profound understanding of the Oriental conception of health and illness along with a foundation in Western medicine, a fertile combination that allows me to bridge East and West in the care and compassion I provide to my patients. I bring that compassion and care to the pool where I teach proper joint movement and muscle release for chronic pain management and fast recovery from joint surgery and post stroke. Join us for an hour of fun and health!

Theresa Crowell has a bachelor's degree in communication from Purdue University and is a Stay-At Home Mama to three kids. She loves to lift weights and you can usually find her on the weight-room floor or upstairs on a bike!  After deciding to change her life, take control of her health, and being dragged kicking and screaming to her first cycling class (that MIGHT be a bit of an exaggeration, but she was definitely scared to go!), she became addicted to the bike!  She decided to become an instructor and is now certified. Theresa is also an avid knitter, a voracious reader, and a pretty big Nerd. She loves her husband, kids, and this new life they have built is AMAZING! Her advice? If you are looking to make a change, do not be scared to do so. Find someone to help you if you need the help, get a support system, and just go for it.  Faith. Courage. Strength. Change.

Born and raised in Indiana, my full time careers have taken me many places, from local State Road 52 working customer service to the friendly skies as a flight attendant and back to earth to pursue a career in event planning and project management. I am honored to be an employee of the Indiana Veterans’ Home where I work as Special Projects Coordinator. I am so proud to say I have been an instructor since 2012 teaching Revolution indoor cycling class. I have been Group X certified since 2013 and in 2015 I completed my certification in Les Mills RPM indoor cycling. I have a background in dance which I believe really fuels my love for instructing. In my spare time I love to dance ( even if it is the in the kitchen) with

my husband, ride on the motorcycle and run. Everyone’s fitness journey looks different, we are all on different roads. The beauty of group exercise is that for an hour or so we get to ride our roads together.
